We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our revenue team. This role involves proactively collaborating with sales management teams to guide on sales transactions & programs to optimize in period revenue recognition while maintaining full compliance with US SEC and US GAAP requirements.

This role reports to the Senior Manager/Director of Revenue Accounting.

Infinera has recently completed the acquisition of another company of equal size. This person will play a key role in the integration of the two companies, merging of its policies and processes as well as driving key system enhancements in SAP to drive automation and efficiency into processes.

Your Key Responsibilities Would Include:

  • Reviewing and posting revenue contracts and bundled elements to ensure the revenue allocation is appropriate and in accordance with ASC605 and ASC606.
  • Preparation of journal entries and reconciliations during monthly close to ensure current period posting is correctly stated.
  • Preparation of revenue related schedules for external auditors.
  • Responding to quarterly requests from internal auditors for SOX compliance.
  • Reviewing the invoicing transactions prepared by the Billings team and working closely with them to identify which orders can be invoiced.
  • Preparation of monthly Closing Package, quarterly external audit schedules, quarterly 10Q and annual 10K schedules for SEC filing.
  • Documentation of desktop procedures and SOX narrative for revenue related functions
  • Reviewing and posting of daily invoicing transactions prepared by the Billings team.
  • Identifying opportunities for and implementing improvements to our business processes to help increase the efficiency and accuracy of order to cash.
  • Work closely with Customer Service team, Order Management team, Revenue Technical Team and Billings team.

Education & Experience Necessary For Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Accounting and/or Finance with a focus on revenue recognition, preferably including experience in both public accounting and corporate environments with hardware and software companies.
  • Positive self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills, strong Excel skills and analytical skills.
  • SAP and RAR experience preferred.
