Job Description


As a leader in our revenue accounting team, you will take ownership of our revenue accounting function, which includes ensuring appropriate accounting of our revenue streams and contracts and driving our monthly and quarterly revenue close activities. You will also participate in other aspects of the general ledger close process.

What you will do:

    Ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with US GAAP and supported by appropriate documentation

    Own monthly and quarterly accounting close activities for revenue, manage the validation and reconciliation of all revenue related accounts, analyze data, and prepare reporting

    Must be comfortable living and thriving in the detail but also have the ability to understand the bigger picture

    Establish and maintain revenue recognition policy, processes, and reporting

    Work with our external auditors to vet accounting issues

    Participate in other aspects of close

    Lead and mentor a team of 2-3

Your experience should include:

    Being well-rounded and resourceful, understanding how to drive initiatives in a timely and professional manner in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

    ASC 606 subject matter expert as it pertains to software revenue

    Strong understanding of US GAAP and GAAP reporting

    CPA preferred

    Working for a major accounting firm

    Technical memo writing (audit quality)

    Expert level Excel. Google Docs & Google Sheets

    Workday Financials & RevPro

    Building and motivating a team

    Working in an changing and ambiguous environment

    Managing multiple priorities and tasks in parallel
