Associate Brand Designer at Affirm

In service of this mission, we’ve recently begun amping up our marketing efforts to reach new users and spread the word about our brand to both B2C and B2B audiences. 

We’re looking for someone who can help us deliver our marketing assets. As an Associate Brand Designer, you’ll help steward Affirm’s visual identity in all public communications. You’ll be a key member of the Brand team, partnering closely with other Brand Designers and/or our copywriters to create and execute work for our cross-functional partners such as Product Design, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Integrated Marketing, and PR/Communications teams. You will be responsible for concepting and designing and crafting a variety of consumer-facing and merchant-facing assets that communicate Affirm’s mission across a variety of media.

What you'll do

  • Maintain, and evolve Affirm’s visual identity in all public communications and across various mediums ranging from illustrations to photography, icon design to videos and application / web design. 
  • Work closely with our B2C marketing teams to concept and design product landing pages and assets for online and offline marketing (including emails, display banners, social media assets, print, out of home, conferences and tradeshows, presentations/pitch decks). 
  • Work closely with our B2B marketing teams to concept and design business collateral, info-graphics, print materials and photography assets for content marketing
  • Work with designers, copywriters, engineers, marketers, and others at Affirm to execute first-class work
  • Develop creative visual solutions following the process from concept through to production

What we look for

  • 3+ years of digital and print design experience
  • Strong portfolio showing a range of projects you’ve concepted and designed with a strong emphasis on design
  • Experience in campaign concepting, partnering and ideating with copywriters
  • Solid understanding of brand, website, email, social media, digital media, video, collateral/presentation and experiential design as well as composition, color, imagery, and photography
  • Solid knowledge of relevant design software (Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, Figma, G Suite, Asana)
  • Attention to detail – meticulous when it comes to typography, grids, balance, and white space
  • A strong communicator who is quickly responsive to email and chat messages and proactively communicates updates on their progress
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Ability to concept and design quickly and share progress openly and frequently
  • Informed and thought-through opinions but willing to listen and problem solve as well
  • Some experience with art directing photographers, videographers, illustrators.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Animation and motion graphic skills a plus
