OpenX is looking for an ambitious Data Scientist, Analytics to distill our unusually large dataset consisting of 100B+ daily transactions into insights to inform revenue decisions. In addition, you'll be monitoring the health of our business, working on experiments to drive revenue across our exchange, and helping set the standard for data-driven decision making across the company.
The ideal candidate has a passion for telling stories with data, an ability to explain complex ideas to a broad audience, and a keen eye for levers that drive business value.
Partner with stakeholders across tech, product, and business to deliver actionable insights and aid in decision making
Perform ad hoc investigations to understand changing trends in the business
Define and evaluate metrics
Build and maintain dashboards
Design and execute experiments
The Skillset And Experience
2+ years of industry experience in a Data Science or Analytics role
BA/BS in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics or related. Advanced degree (MS+) preferred.
Proficiency in SQL
Programming experience in Python or R
Solid grasp of probability and statistics, especially techniques that scale to massive datasets
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience with cloud computing, especially Google Cloud Platform or AWS
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc.
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Scikit-learn
Experience working in digital media, marketing technology or advertising technology
