About this Role

Fandom is growing! Our Senior Accountant opportunity is based in the U.S., and reports to our Assistant Controller.

 

Our Accountant team is a fan of numbers. Opinions are fine but numbers speak the truth. You love numbers. You keep a spreadsheet for your weekly shopping list and run cost-benefit analyses to determine the most efficient weekday, time of day, and location to get your groceries. You check your bills because you delight in finding mistakes and you make copies of them because you know they will turn white before the two years warranty deadline, and just want to know that you have backup if you need it.

 

You will support a global company. You will help maintain the financial books and records, and overseeing the accounting operations for vendors and suppliers. You will prepare journal entries, drafting schedules and completing reconciliations. You will help ensure that the department 's accounting operations are functioning smoothly.

You Will...

  • Manage the supplier bills process and ensure supplier payments.
  • Be responsible for inventory purchase accounting and reconciliations.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and complete complex reconciliations of payment processor fees from multiple payment processors, including management of those accounts.
  • Review and enter vendor bills.
  • Prepare journal entry back-up and book journal entries.
  • Prepare month-end close schedules, and reconciliations. Check month-end account balances and resolve discrepancies.
  • Calculate foreign exchange profit and loss.
  • Help with audits.
  • Produce routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted procedures.
  • Contribute to other finance and accounting related activities and special projects.

You Have...

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Experience using G Suite, Microsoft Office, and Excel (can perform complex functions))
  • Accuracy, patience
  • Advanced level of spoken and written English
  • Collaborative, proactive and with willingness to participate in multiple international financial projects
  • NetSuite knowledge is a plus
