Job Description
Fandom is growing! We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join our User Experience News & Ratings team. This position is based in Poznań, but can work remotely from anywhere in Poland. You will report to our Senior Engineering Manager.
You will get to create engaging user experiences used by 350 million fans who generate 4 billion page events monthly. You will work with our cross-functional teams to plan, design, and build scalable web applications and experiences.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of entertainment sites across Fandom’s News & Ratings portfolio, including brands such as Metacritic, Gamespot, TV Guide, Comic Vine and more. You will also participate in projects that drive performance improvements and user engagement. In all of this, you will have the opportunity to have a real impact on the business, tools and processes.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be expected to proactively identify and drive architectural improvements across Fandom’s various sites. It’s OK if you’re more specialized in either front-end or back-end or prefer to be a balanced web developer that solves problems equally on both sides of the HTTP protocol - if you’re good at solving problems and you enjoy pop culture, there is a big chance you’ll find yourself at home at Fandom!
