Meet Your Future Neighbors

Nextdoor is looking for a CREATE Co-op to support efforts led by the CREATE (Sales Marketing & Strategy) team. As a CREATE Co-op, you will support the team in helping with various tasks involved in creating presentations and proposals for clients. You’ll be looking at Nextdoor and market insights to help the team find and tell compelling stories. 

Nextdoor CREATE serves as Nextdoor’s collective of in-house marketers and strategists focused on leveraging the power of the neighborhood to drive local connections between people and brands. The team’s purpose is to craft and communicate Nextdoor’s ads value to drive brand activation, investment and understanding. Top objectives we focus on are:

  • Position Nextdoor as a must buy for advertisers - curated based on vertical, audience, objective or event
  • Create and sell unique Nextdoor campaigns - that inspire, drive results and incremental revenue. This will be especially important while we get resources on ads infrastructure
  • Support sales team as brand evangelists - in-market sharing Nextdoor advertising story to drive awareness and adoption
  • Build scalable materials and destinations with one Business Marketing story - create a consistent narrative woven through events, creative ideas and business channels that unifies our ads experience

The Impact You’ll Make

As a part of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to see how insights and presentation work come to life in client pitches. We are a team that loves a challenge and helping our Sales partners find solutions to help our brand partners ideas come to life. Someone curious and open to learning with a passion for storytelling will do best on the team. 

You will be a partner in helping support the CREATE team build collateral for pitch and proposal materials. You should be excited to bring your experience and expertise every day.

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Identify and develop potential case studies, brand spotlights and blinded studies, including gathering campaign details and results and baseline draft writing
  • Aid in the build process of our content within our CMS and publishing platforms by drafting and publishing Enterprise business blog content and keeping CREATE’s content calendar up-to-date
  • Update Sales Marketing collateral, including but not limited to: toolkits, templates, recap slides 
  • Pull audience insights from ComScore and GWI and organize data into spreadsheets to update existing collateral
  • Provide project management support on various branded content projects
  • Assist creative teams to prepare creative assets for final delivery, including mocking up Sponsored Post creative
  • Participate in brainstorms and status meetings
  • Assist the CREATE team  with special projects (website and social media maintenance, creative asset organization, Airtable tracking, launch tracking, and more)
  • Collaborate closely with multiple cross-functional teams to support project requirements 
  • Participate in in-person Nextdoor events, trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and other team building exercises
  • Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to the KIND culture that Nextdoor values

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • Undergraduate degree in or working toward a degree in digital media, advertising, integrated marketing, or other related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, process-oriented, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and work well with team members in a fast-paced environment 
  • Deep interest in storytelling and our strategy to educate, inform, and inspire brands
  • A can-do attitude excited to learn
  • Passion for Nextdoor’s product, purpose, and mission 
  • Bonus Points
    • Any design experience a plus - Figma preferred
    • Interest in or classes taken related to advertising

The pay for this role is expected to be $20 per hour over 10-12 weeks.
