Fandom is growing! As a Senior Manager of Technical Program Management at Fandom, you will lead a team of amazing Technical Program Managers and help us build the web experience on the world’s biggest platform for fans, with over 2.5 billion page views and 300 million monthly users! Our Community Platform underlies some of the biggest fan knowledge bases in the world, including communities built around pop culture phenomena like Star Wars, Minecraft, Marvel Comics, and thousands of others.

You will…

  • Lead a team of Technical Program Managers to help build, manage, and set direction for teams as a whole and individual team member success.
  • Be responsible for defining and delivering important programs with broad organizational, business, and technical impact.
  • Mentor, train, and enable TPM’s to 
    • Identify and solve systemic, organizational-wide problems.
    • Build strong relationships and partner with product management and engineering to define needs that support strategic planning and execution.
    • Define metrics, requirements, and scope.
    • Designing and executing process and strategy frameworks that facilitate product-related goal setting, decision-making, and business impact.
    • Articulate to stakeholders your team’s technology requirements, goals, and milestones, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • As a cross-functional partner, lead technical discussions and be a thought leader during product reviews
  • Integrate your technical knowledge, subject-matter expertise, and understanding of trends to make sound decisions and influence business direction through data-driven analysis.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
  • Perform risk and change management on projects.
  • Influence program/product direction and simplify complexity.
  • Bring robust, data-driven, and strategic technical judgment to decisions.
  • Be hands-on, working closely with Software Engineers and Product Managers to design, build, and deliver the next generation of Fandom services and products.

You have...

  • 8+ years of software industry experience, including systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • 4+ years of people management experience leading teams to deliver technical programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen, leading and managing end-to-end projects, from planning to execution to delivery.
  • Ability to provide technical transparency to audiences at all organizational levels.  
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment  and manage  competing priorities
  • Ability to lead and influence without authority to drive consensus on project goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with senior stakeholders, including non-technical groups.  
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation, and organizational skills
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience managing and collaborating with global teams is essential. We prefer candidates based in the EST time zone to ensure smooth coordination with our team in Poland.
