Director of Exchange Products at Sharethrough

We are looking for a forward-thinking, creative product leader to take charge scaling our exchange (STX - the Sharethrough Exchange). This is a cross functional role working closely across the org with engineering, product, support, business development, and marketing. You’ll work with these teams as well as our DSP partners, exchanges, and header wrappers to ensure success. This includes defining hypothesis, structuring and executing experiments, coordinating with external resources, and ongoing success monitoring. You will have a team of PMs and a strategist to assist in running the largest product and engineering team at Sharethrough, located onsite in SF.

About the role

  • Lead the planning and execution of all aspects of our exchange, which are divided into:
  • Publisher growth and enrichment - how publishers integrate our demand into their properties and how we make their inventory as valuable as possible
  • Integrations - developing and enhancing our integrations with demand and supply
  • Ad exchange operations - core ad-server and auction technology at scale
  • Research - how can we optimize both for cost and revenue
  • Mentor and build a high-functioning team
  • Lead cross-team coordination with business development, programmatic strategy, and many other teams
  • Coordinate with our onsite exchange engineering team to continue scaling and ensure architectural efficiency
  • Work directly with strategic DSPs, exchanges, vendors, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and build the best software for them
  • Define, track and improve upon key business and product success metrics
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Sharethrough’s industry landscape and identify areas for competitive differentiation

About You

  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • 3+ years in a product leadership role with experience managing other PMs and multiple engineering teams
  • 2+ years of experience with advertising exchanges
  • Equally comfortable with seeing the “big picture” and meticulously thinking through every interaction requirement of online development projects
  • Strong awareness of current mobile and web technologies, trends, products, and design standards including their technical underpinnings
  • First-hand working experience with agile/scrum software development methodologies
  • CS/engineering background preferred
